Our Quest

Hello! We’re The Y WA, and we’re excited to welcome passionate and enthusiastic educators to our diverse and inclusive OSHC team.

At The Y WA, you’ll play an important role in supporting children to grow in body, mind and spirit across our OSHC services throughout WA.

We’re currently looking for a qualified educator to join our service in the heart of Kalgoorlie, WA, on a permanent part-time contract with a minimum of 20 hours per fortnight.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll build long-lasting relationships with your new OSHC team and our special little ones during before school and after school care. You’ll support the supervisor by implementing effective service programs, monitoring behaviour and ratios, while building positive relationships with the children and their parents. Plus, enjoy having one of the most enjoyable day jobs on offer, with our regular activities, incursions, and excursions, that make being at Y OSHC a hit with kids and educators alike

You’ll be great in this role if you…

  • Hold an ACECQA approved CERT III or Cert IV from a recognised institution in OSHC or a degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education/Teaching or equivalent
  • Hold a manual driver’s license
  • Be able to work 2 hours a day as a minimum.
  • Have implemented programs for 4-to-12-year olds
  • Have a passion to inspire primary aged children to develop and learn
  • Can obtain a National Police Certificate and Working with Children card
  • Can obtain the necessary First Aid certifications
