Senior Finance Business Partner
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join a prominent and highly regarded Queensland organisation for an initial 4-month term.
Working closely with the Director of Finance and leaders across the organisation, this position will take ownership of key budgeting, forecasting and management reporting activities while providing the financial analysis and insights required to support effective decision-making.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Delivering timely, insightful monthly management reporting
- Analysing performance, variances, trends, risks and opportunities
- Developing long-term forecasts to support strategic planning
- Translating financial data into clear, actionable commercial insights
- Partnering with senior leaders to support informed decision-making
- Driving stronger financial performance across the organisation
About You
You will be an experienced finance professional with strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and analytical capability. Just as importantly, you will be a confident business partner who can turn numbers into meaningful insights.
To be successful, you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline
- CA, CPA or CIMA qualification
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
- Excellent financial analysis and commercial acumen
- Proven business partnering experience with senior and operational stakeholders
- The ability to identify key insights and communicate them clearly
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability (experience with Technology One is advantageous)
Experience within a large or complex organisation, including government or not-for-profit environments, would be advantageous but is not essential.
