Electrohire is growing, and we’re looking for a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance and service team. If you enjoy electrical fault-finding, hands-on problem-solving and working with specialised equipment, this is an opportunity to build your skills in a niche area of the construction industry.

About the Role
As our Hoist Electrician, you’ll maintain, fault-find and repair electrical systems across our construction hoists and associated lifting equipment. Working across our workshop and customer sites throughout Southeast Queensland, you’ll also support equipment installation and commissioning, helping ensure our fleet operates safely and reliably.

This is a hands-on role for an electrician with experience in construction hoists, lifting equipment or rigging environments. You’ll need the technical knowledge and initiative to troubleshoot problems, work with minimal supervision and collaborate with a close-knit team to deliver quality outcomes for our customers.

What You’ll Do:
• Service, maintain and repair construction hoists and associated lifting equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults across motors, control circuits and safety systems
• Assist with electrical installation, testing and commissioning of equipment
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Attend customer sites to troubleshoot faults and minimise equipment downtime
• Complete service records and ensure all work meets electrical safety and quality standards

What We’re Looking For:
• Current Queensland electrical licence
• Experience working with construction hoists, lifting equipment or electrical systems in a rigging environment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills, ideally involving motors, VSDs, PLCs or control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across SEQ, including occasional regional travel
• Strong safety awareness, initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Why Join Electrohire?
• Permanent, full-time role with long-term stability
• Varied role combining driving, deliveries and yard operations
• Ongoing training and opportunities to gain additional licences and tickets.
• Supportive, down-to-earth team environment
• Paid Birthday Leave and opportunity to purchase additional week of annual leave
• $250 annual Health & Fitness Subsidy and access to Fitness Passport
• Annual uniform allocation and access to 1,000+ employee discounts
• Employee Assistance Program and access to McNab’s Social Club
