Your new company
An established and well-regarded organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys managing end-to-end payroll, working autonomously, and contributing to a collaborative business environment. Working as part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand while also supporting broader HR administration activities.
Your new role

  • Process end-to-end payroll for approximately 100 monthly pay cycles and also supporting the weekly cycle of 230.
  • Ensure payroll is completed accurately and within strict processing and banking deadlines.
  • Reconcile and lodge payroll tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage superannuation updates and monthly contribution lodgements.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding administration.
  • Maintain payroll records, leave reporting and employee self-service portal administration.
  • Calculate and process incentive and bonus payments.
  • Liaise with payroll software providers and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Assist with recruitment administration, including job advertising and candidate screening.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with legislative, award and company requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll in a medium-sized organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, EBAs, NES and Fair Work requirements.
  • Experience working with enterprise payroll systems such as MYOB Acumatica (PayGlobal/Pay Advance) or similar platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exposure to both Australian and New Zealand payroll environments will be highly regarded.
