The Opportunity:

We have a permanent ongoing opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Anglican Care aged care team at Jesmond Grove - Jesmond.

You will have the ability to act as a team leader and mentor at ward level, participating in effective teamwork and maintaining communication with colleagues to promote collaboration and facilitate the coordination of person-centred care. Your strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills will prove invaluable as you work collaboratively with a range of staff. 

Shifts available - night shifts only (Max term period - up to 6 months)

Sunday - Thursday   2245 – 0645hrs

Role & Responsibilities:   

  • Experience in palliative care, knowledge of AN-ACC and providing high quality care of the ageing people
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership of employees
  • Excellent time management, an ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Current Drivers Licence

About you? 

  •  Registered Nurse with current registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Proven ability to deliver person centre care that respects the dignity and worth of the individual. 
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement)  
  • Able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team 
  • National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
