Commercial Cleaner – Multiple Positions

About the role
Luxora Hotels and Management Pty. Ltd. is seeking experienced and reliable Commercial Cleaners to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation at its hotel premises in Townsville.
Key responsibilities
- Clean hotel foyers, corridors, lifts, function rooms, amenities and staff areas.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, strip and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, curtains and upholstered furniture.
- Clean and disinfect public bathrooms and other amenities.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and fittings.
- Clean windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings and other surfaces.
- Empty bins and move rubbish and recyclable materials to designated collection areas.
- Operate commercial vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and polishing equipment.
- Undertake scheduled and periodic deep-cleaning work.
- Replenish cleaning products and bathroom supplies.
- Maintain cleaning equipment, trolleys and storage areas.
- Report damage, maintenance problems and safety hazards.
- Follow chemical-handling, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Complete cleaning checklists and other required records.
- Cooperate with hotel operations and housekeeping team members.
Essential requirements
Applicants must have:
- At least [one/two] year[s] of relevant commercial cleaning experience.
- Previous cleaning experience in a hotel, resort or comparable commercial environment.
- Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment and using cleaning chemicals safely.
- Knowledge of workplace hygiene and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time-management skills.
- The physical capacity to lift equipment, bend, push cleaning trolleys and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
