Refrigeration Mechanic

I am working with a number of clients to find Refrigeration Mechanics and Service Technicians looking to join leading companies in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

We’re seeking motivated and skilled Refrigeration Mechanics to work on large-scale commercial fit-outs, offices, retail, hospitals, and government buildings throughout the Melbourne area. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Installation of commercial refrigeration systems
• Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting on refrigeration equipment using diagnostic tools and specialized equipment
• Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with regulations
• Prior commercial refrigeration experience

You will have: 

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning (or recognized equivalent)
• Current relevant licensing and certifications - full Arctic and Restricted Electrical
• Proven experience working as a refrigeration mechanic in commercial refrigeration environments
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles and system components
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, gauges, and specialized refrigeration tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to the refrigeration industry
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various job sites
• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks in various working environments
