Your New CompanyOur client is a well-established Australian Defence technology organisation delivering advanced electronic, RF and communications solutions for critical national capability programs. With a strong pipeline of long-term projects and continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Officer to join their Adelaide-based team. You'll have the opportunity to work on leading-edge technologies in a collaborative environment that supports ongoing training, mentoring and career development.Your New RoleAs a Technical Officer, you will support the assembly, testing, modification and repair of electronic systems while contributing to integration and production activities. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you will be involved in a variety of hands-on tasks across RF, electronics and cable manufacturing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assembly, modification and repair of electronic systems
- Fault finding and repair of electronic and electrical equipment
- Building, testing and terminating cable assemblies and wiring looms
- RF cable fabrication, testing and measurement activities
- PCB rework and electronics modification
- Supporting system integration and test activities
- Maintaining technical documentation and workshop standards
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Current NV1 Security Clearance
- Ability to solder electronic assemblies, including through-hole and SMT components
- Experience building, repairing, testing and terminating cables and wiring looms
- Exposure to RF cabling and RF test equipment
- Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills
- Electrical/Electronic trade qualification or similar technical background
