Merchandise Planner

Our client, a well-known national retail group, is seeking experienced Merchandise Planners to join their Support Office team, with two positions currently available across different categories.
This role plays a critical part in driving merchandise strategy through accurate forecasting, in-depth analysis and strong inventory planning, ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time. The successful candidates will work closely with Buyers and Planning teams to deliver commercial outcomes across sales, profit and stock, while supporting seasonal strategy, in-season trading and end-to-end planning processes.
What you'll be doing:
- Build weekly sales, profit and stock plans, purchase and stock flow plans, and support seasonal range reviews and store grading decisions
- Manage in-season trading and monitor inventory across DC and stores to optimise sales, gross profit and availability
- Support markdown and stock optimisation decisions, providing analytical insight to guide Buyers on range strategy
What we're looking for:
- Experience in Merchandise Planning or Demand Planning within retail, with a strong background in forecasting, budgeting and in-season trading
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with merchandise systems; cookware or hard goods experience highly desirable
- Confident communicator with a strong understanding of stock flow, lifecycle planning and category management, able to influence buyers and stakeholders
