About The Opportunity

Our client is a leading global fund manager and pioneer in investment management, with a track record spanning over six decades of bringing innovative investment strategies to market.

The role sits within the Investment Operations, combining trade support and middle-office functions across the full trade lifecycle

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct daily reconciliations across performance, accounting, position, corporate action, loan, and cash records to ensure accuracy and completeness;
  • Utilise portfolio management systems to accurately reconcile investment positions and transactions;
  • Liaise with counterparties and custodians to facilitate timely trade settlements and monitor and resolve outstanding settlement issues;
  • Collaborate with custodians to investigate, resolve, and prevent discrepancies between accounting records and custody positions;
  • Monitor fund cash movements, transaction activity, and liquidity positions to ensure accurate and timely reporting;
  • Support the proxy voting process by coordinating timely execution and maintaining accurate voting records;
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of fund creation and redemption documentation and checklists; AND
  • Perform post-trade allocations, trade confirmations, and transaction adjustments or corrections as required.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
  • Minimum of 1-4 years’ experience within the financial services industry, preferably in an investment operations role;
  • Prior experience with a fund manager is preferred; candidates with backgrounds in broking, investment banking, or custodial services will also be regarded;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with external service providers and stakeholders;
  • Able to apply practical judgment and attention to detail when following complex instructions and procedures;
  • Experience with Bloomberg is highly regarded; AND
  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence tools to enhance processes, automate tasks, and improve operational efficiency will be considered an advantage.
