Machine Operator
- Operate machinery to meet production, service, and quality standards for cardboard packaging.
- Perform quality inspection checks and maintain safe work practices.
- Assist in machine setup and dismantling for production runs.
Role details:
We’re seeking Machine operators to join our Visy Board Gepps Cross site. We have fixed term and fulltime positions available, working Monday to Friday on a rotating roster of day and afternoons.
- Daily overtime applies based on a 35-hour work week
- Some flexibility around hours may be considered for the right candidate
What you’ll do:
- Operate machinery to meet production, service, and quality standards for the manufacture of cardboard packaging.
- Feeding product into the converting machines and arranging product at the machine discharge points.
- Assist in machine setup, dismantling and job change tasks for a production run.
- Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers
- Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping always.
What you’ll bring:
As our new operator, you will be a team player with a strong work ethic. You will be committed to working safely and engaging with all safety processes and procedures, along with the following:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing is beneficial, though open to all backgrounds.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role where you are on your feet for 12 hours.
- Continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Forklift licence is beneficial.
