Commercial Law Director

You've built your expertise and established yourself as a commercial lawyer. Now, you're ready for a role that offers more than just the next step on the career ladder!

The focus is on corporate and commercial law, particularly front-end matters, with some commercial litigation depending on your experience. You'll work across a varied practice, including:

• Commercial agreements, contracts and business transactions
• Business sales, acquisitions and corporate matters
• Shareholder, partnership and commercial disputes
• Commercial and property-related matters

This isn't a generalist position; the firm is looking for someone with established expertise in particular areas of commercial practice, along with the connections and commercial instincts to develop new client relationships and referral opportunities.

You'll benefit from a genuine pathway to Director. Take on a leadership role, help shape the commercial practice and play an active part in its future growth.
Mentorship from an experienced specialist. Work closely with a senior commercial lawyer who enjoys mentoring others and is keen to pass on their knowledge as you develop your practice.

About you:

• Strong corporate and commercial experience, particularly front-end work
• Existing industry connections or a plan for developing referral relationships
• A proactive approach to business development
• A personable, collaborative style and the confidence to work autonomously

You'll be an experienced commercial lawyer with a strong area of expertise, confidence managing client relationships and an interest in growing a practice. You might be coming from a boutique, mid-tier or national firm and looking for greater autonomy and a clearer pathway into leadership.
