Disability Support Worker
- Provide direct personal care and support to clients with disabilities.
- Assist clients in accessing community activities and social participation.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and communicate effectively with clients and their families.
· A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and commitment to person-centred care
·Previous experience in disability support, aged care or a related community services role
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships
·Physical capability to assist with personal care and mobility support
·Reliability, punctuality and excellent time management
·Flexibility and adaptability when responding to client needs
·A valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
·Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
·Current Driver's Licence and reliable access to transport
·A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
·Problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Key responsibilities
·Provide direct personal care and support to clients with disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene and grooming
·Support clients in accessing community activities, social participation and recreational opportunities
·Assist with meal preparation, shopping and household tasks as required
·Maintain accurate and detailed records of support provided and client progress
·Communicate effectively with clients, their families and the broader support team to ensure coordinated care
·Assist clients with appointments and accompany them to medical, educational and social engagements
