Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a VR General Practitioner to join an established private practice network across Tasmania, with a generous financial incentive package for GPs who sign and commence before 31 December 2026.

We are seeking permanent GPs, including those eligible for an expedited pathway to work in Tasmania, who are looking to establish themselves in a supportive practice environment while benefiting from a substantial sign-on incentive.

Sign-On Incentives

Eligible GPs who commit to a two-year term and commence before the end of 2026 can receive up to $50,000 in sign-on incentives, structured as follows:

• $20,000 upon signing and commencing in the clinic.
• $15,000 after completing six months of service.
• $15,000 after completing the second six-month period.

The above package applies to full-time GPs working a minimum of 10 sessions per week, with pro-rata incentives available for GPs working fewer sessions.

Opportunities are available across the following Tasmanian locations:

• Sandy Bay
• Bellerive
• Devonport
• Huon
• Rosny
• Sorell

The Ideal Candidate

• VR General Practitioner, or a GP eligible for an expedited pathway to practise in Tasmania.
• Seeking a permanent position with a two-year commitment.
• Available to commence before 31 December 2026.
• Ideally available to work 3-4 days per week, with flexibility for suitable part-time arrangements.
