The team at Carejobz Perioperative Specialists are recruiting for a day surgery in Bundaberg. This role suits an experienced Recovery/PACU Registered Nurse who would enjoy working in a modern regional day surgery.
About the Facility
This purpose-built, modern day surgery specialises in Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, Plastics, Skin, Vascular and General Surgery. It has two operating theatres and a procedure room with state-of-the-art technology, and is well known for evidence-based surgical care and excellent patient outcomes.
The Role
This is a full-time or part-time position for an experienced Recovery/PACU Registered Nurse, caring for patients from two theatres and a procedure room. Experience in the hospital's specialties and in a fast-paced day or short stay setting will be well regarded.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver evidence-based care, monitoring patient wellbeing and providing safe, high-quality treatment at each stage of the hospital stay.
- Prepare the facility, equipment and clinical environment for safe, efficient surgery.
- Maintain clear team communication, assess patient progress and respond promptly to changes or complications.
- Provide clear education, guidance and reassurance so patients feel confident managing their recovery after discharge.
- Supervise and support colleagues on shift, fostering confidence, teamwork and safe practice.
- Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across the hospital.
What You Will Bring
- Solid experience in Recovery/PACU nursing within a surgical hospital setting.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Strong time management, organisational, leadership and communication skills.
- Full Australian working rights.
