About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Electrician to join our Queensland civil crew in a permanent, full-time role based out of our Heathwood depot. 

Reporting to the Civil Team Leader, you’ll work as part of a crew delivering underground conduit and cable installation works across network infrastructure projects. This is a genuinely hands-on role where you’ll get involved across the full scope of the job from electrical installation, trenching, backfilling and site reinstatement.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside the civil crew to complete trenching, excavation and conduit installation near live underground services
• Install electrical conduits safely and to the required standard
• Complete cable installation, associated electrical works and practical fault-response activities
• Support backfilling, compaction, reinstatement and other general civil activities as required
• Safely operate and maintain plant and equipment, identifying and reporting any defects or required repairs
• Complete all work in line with industry standards, electrical safety requirements, network regulations and workplace health and safety procedures

About You

You are an experienced Electrician who enjoys hands-on work, being part of a crew that gets the job done properly. You’re at your best out in the field, working on essential infrastructure and taking pride in delivering safe, reliable outcomes for the community.

You’re also ready to pitch in beyond the electrical scope. Whether it’s trenching, conduit installation, backfilling or reinstatement, you’ll work side by side with the civil crew and contribute wherever needed. 

• Current Queensland Electrical Licence
• Australian Driver’s Licence, with an MR or HR licence highly regarded
• Solid experience across electrical construction, maintenance and fault-finding
• Practical knowledge of substations, switching, AC systems and protection circuits
• A strong safety mindset and pride in doing quality work right the first time
• Clear communication skills and a team-first approach when working with field crews and stakeholders
