Field Based Collections Specialist

Your new role
This is a field-based position where you'll spend much of your time meeting customers face-to-face, building relationships, and helping achieve positive outcomes. You will operate autonomously while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Meeting customers in person and conducting follow-up discussions via phone
- Negotiating and establishing sustainable repayment arrangements
- Building rapport and maintaining professional customer relationships
- Monitoring payment arrangements and managing follow-up activities
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Managing your own schedule and travel requirements
- Travelling nationally as required (once every 5 weeks)
What you'll need to succeed
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to confidently manage difficult or sensitive conversations
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities
- A resilient, self-motivated, and results-driven approach
- Experience in collections, customer service, sales, field-based roles, or account management is highly regarded
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Basic proficiency using mobile technology and email systems
Essential requirements:
- Full Australian Driver's Licence
- Background checks will be conducted
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Ability to work a 47-hour week
- Ability to travel interstate for approximately one week per month
