Your New Role
We are seeking anexperienced Radio Technician / Communications Technician to join a site-basedmining operation on a 7/7 or 8/6 roster, FIFO from Townsville or Cairns.
This hands-on rolewill see you responsible for maintaining and improving the site'scommunications infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity across miningoperations.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and support radio and communications systems Maintain and troubleshoot UHF/VHF radio networks Support leaky feeder communication systems Perform fault finding, repairs, and system optimisation Maintain CCTV and telephony (VoIP) systems Deliver infrastructure upgrades and commissioning activities Maintain accurate documentation and system records Respond to incidents and escalations as required Work closely with IT and operational teams to ensure seamless connectivity across siteWhat You'll Need to Succeed
Trade qualification or demonstrated experience in Radio Communications, Telecommunications, Electronics, ICT, or similar Current Australian Driver's Licence Experience working with communications infrastructure in an industrial, mining, or commercial environment Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Highly regarded:
UHF/VHF radio systems experience Leaky feeder systems CCTV systems Telephony and VoIP systems Mining or remote-site experience
