About Stomp Coffee House

Stomp Coffee House is a busy, well-loved café in North Perth, serving breakfast and lunch with a focus on fresh ingredients, quality food and friendly service.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook / Junior Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment and wants to develop their culinary skills while contributing to a positive, organised kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes to our menu standards.
• Assist with daily food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces and portioning ingredients.
• Prepare and replenish cabinet food, sandwiches, salads and other ready-to-go items.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
• Follow recipes, food safety procedures and hygiene standards.
• Assist with stock rotation, labelling, storage and waste control.
• Keep kitchen equipment, workstations and preparation areas clean and organised.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with deliveries, stock handling and general kitchen duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Cook, Junior Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
• Experience in a café or breakfast kitchen is highly regarded.
• Basic cooking skills and a good understanding of food preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining quality.
• A positive attitude, reliability and strong teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn, take direction and contribute to the team.
• Availability for early starts and a rotating weekend roster.

A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery and a current Food Safety Certificate are advantageous.
