What you will be doing in this role

We’re looking for passionate, experienced Registered Midwives to bring their expertise to our night‑shift maternity team on a permanent basis . A space where calm, connection, and true meaningful care can thrive. On nights, you will have the time and autonomy to deliver high‑quality, woman‑centred antenatal and postnatal care, supporting mothers, babies, and families during some of their most intimate and transformative moments. 

You will be part of a warm, collaborative multidisciplinary team that champions safe practice, exceptional patient experience, and evidence‑based care. As a valued member of our unit, you’ll work alongside a hands-on, flexible Nursing Unit Manager who genuinely invests in your growth, supports your success, and celebrates the expertise you bring to every shift. 

Who we’re looking for: 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife, with a minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience within a Birthing Unit, allowing you to confidently provide expert care
  • You will be known for your deep empathy and emotional intelligence, creating a compassionate environment where mothers and newborns feel truly supported
  • Communication is your strength, and you excel in both verbal and written forms, building trust and rapport with patients, their families, and your colleagues
  • Able to commit to night shifts
  • Full Australian working rights
