Water Operator TA Wanted!

We're looking for a Water Operator based in Merredin to join a great team and play an important role in maintaining the local water supply and wastewater networks.

This is a hands-on outdoor role where no two days are exactly the same. You'll be working across pipelines, water services, operational sites and public facilities, while developing valuable technical skills that can lead to future opportunities in technical, management or leadership roles.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating, maintaining, monitoring and repairing water and wastewater assets, operational sites and public facilities.
  • Inspecting pipelines, identifying faults and repairing damaged pipes, joints and water services.
  • Carrying out civil works, including digging trenches and other field-based activities.
  • Supporting upgrades and maintenance of the local water supply network.
  • Developing your understanding of the end-to-end water cycle and how water networks support the local community.
  • Participating in safe job planning, team meetings and workplace inspections.
  • Following all health and safety requirements, with safety always the number one priority.
  • Participating in overtime and call-out rosters when required.

What you'll need

  • Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
  • HR Class Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in civil work, water supply and/or wastewater systems.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work outdoors.
