A leading technical consultancy is seeking a commercially minded Head of Business Development Mining to help strengthen its presence across the Australian mining market.

The organisation partners with clients to solve complex environmental, water, hydrogeology, contaminated land, ESG, digital and infrastructure challenges, combining local Australian expertise with global technical capability.
Your new role
This role suits a marketing, growth or sector development professional who can translate technical expertise into clear market propositions, campaigns and client-facing collateral. Working with senior mining and technical leaders, you will support growth across a complex B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop targeted marketing initiatives that build sector profile and credibility. Partner with senior leaders to shape messaging, value propositions and go-to-market priorities. Create content, campaigns, thought leadership and client materials that make technical capability clear and commercially relevant. Support strategic bids, proposals and presentations with strong narrative and market insight. Conduct market, competitor and client research to identify trends and opportunities. Collaborate with technical specialists across environmental, water, hydrogeology, ESG, digital and related disciplines.

What you'll need to succeed
You will bring experience in marketing, business development, pursuits, sector growth or communications within a complex B2B, technical or professional services environment. Exposure to mining, resources, engineering, environmental consulting or infrastructure will be highly regarded.
You will be a strategic thinker and strong communicator who can work confidently with senior stakeholders, manage multiple priorities and influence across teams.What Youll Bring

Experience in marketing, sector development, client engagement, pursuits or strategic communications. Strong writing capability for technical and executive audiences. Commercial awareness and understanding of how professional services firms build market presence and win work. Confidence engaging with senior leaders, technical experts and cross-functional teams.
