Current Opportunity
Sparkways Early Learning Showgrounds – Flemington
- Full-Time Diploma Educator – Permanent
This position will be primarily based in our kindergarten room. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of experience working in a kindergarten room and be confident in supporting children’s learning, development and school readiness.
Educators may also be required to work across different rooms as operationally required, providing flexibility and support across the centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, well-established team that is passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
Rates of Pay
Up to $38.13 per hour, including retention loading.

Located in the historic Government Pavilion Building within the Showgrounds Village Precinct, our modern centre offers beautiful indoor and outdoor learning spaces for children from six weeks to school age.
With a supportive team and a strong commitment to quality education and care, Showgrounds provides an environment where educators can contribute to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

- Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- At least 2 years of experience working in a kindergarten room
- Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Experience planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs that support children’s learning and development
- Ability to support children’s school readiness, independence and social-emotional development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, professional and proactive approach
- Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with families
- Flexibility to support other rooms across the centre when required
