Product Information & Migration Lead
- Lead the product information and master data workstream for the ERP transformation.
- Develop the Product Information & Migration Plan and map legacy product data to the new ERP structure.
- Coordinate data testing, reconciliation, migration rehearsals, cutover and go-live.
We are looking for an experienced Product Information & Migration Lead to join a major ERP transformation program.
This role will be responsible for preparing a large and complex product catalogue for migration from legacy systems into a new ERP platform. With potentially 100,000+ products/SKUs, you will bring structure and consistency to existing product information and develop the approach for cleansing, mapping, validating and migrating it into the new system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the product information and master data workstream for the ERP transformation.
- Review and catalogue existing product and SKU information across legacy systems.
- Define the future-state product structure, including classifications, attributes and units of measure.
- Identify and resolve duplicate, incomplete, obsolete or poor-quality data.
- Develop the Product Information & Migration Plan.
- Map legacy product data to the new ERP structure.
- Define data cleansing, transformation and validation requirements.
- Work with technical teams and implementation partners to deliver the migration.
- Coordinate data testing, reconciliation, migration rehearsals, cutover and go-live.
- Facilitate workshops with business SMEs to understand requirements and agree the future-state approach.
- Establish data quality standards, governance and ownership.
- Manage migration risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions.
About You You will be an experienced Master Data, Product Information, Data Migration or ERP professional with a strong understanding of complex data environments.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience with master data, product information, data migration or ERP transformation.
- Experience working with large product/SKU catalogues or high-volume datasets.
- Strong understanding of product hierarchies, classifications, attributes and relationships.
- Experience with data cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation.
- Experience developing migration strategies and plans.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience working with ERP implementation teams, systems integrators or external vendors.
- A hands-on and pragmatic approach, with the ability to work through ambiguity and drive outcomes.
Desirable Experience with:
- Retail, FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or supply chain environments.
- Large-scale SKU/product migrations.
- PIM or MDM platforms.
- SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or other major ERP platforms.
- Complex ERP transformation programs.
