Our client is a highly regarded Tier 1 Mechanical Contractor with a strong pipeline of landmark projects across Brisbane and Southeast Queensland.
Due to continued growth and multiple project awards, they are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their high-performing team.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale commercial, healthcare, data centre, infrastructure, and industrial projects while working alongside some of the industry's most respected professionals.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and Project Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring engineering excellence, project compliance, and successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading mechanical engineering design coordination and technical delivery.
- Reviewing and managing HVAC, mechanical services, and building services designs.
- Providing engineering support to project and site teams.
- Managing value engineering initiatives and design optimisation.
- Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting procurement, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications.
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years' experience within the building services or mechanical contracting sector.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical outcomes in a fast-paced project environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
