Pump Fitter
- Install, maintain, and repair underground dewatering and service pumps.
- Monitor pump performance and respond to breakdowns and water management issues.
- Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
Join the Barminco team as a Pump Fitter and support our underground mining operations working on a 7/7 or 8/6 DAY SHIFT ONLY roster.
You’ll play a key part in installing, maintaining, and repairing underground dewatering and service pumps ensuring effective water management and safe, continuous mining operations.
What will your day to day look like?
- Install, maintain, and repair underground dewatering and service pumps
- Monitor pump performance and respond to breakdowns and water management issues
- Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance
- Assemble and maintain pipework, valves, and associated fittings
- Work safely in an underground environment in line with site procedures
- Liaise with operations and maintenance teams to support continuous production
Our ideal candidate background includes
- Previous experience working as a Pump Fitter ideally with underground mining and/or dewatering experience. Exposure to challenge mono, flytgt submersible and/or centrifugal pumps will be highly regarded
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
- Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence).
