Export Operations / Key Account Manager
- Manage key client relationships and provide proactive customer service.
- Coordinate export operations including bookings, documentation, and customs.
- Negotiate freight rates and ensure compliance with export documentation.
This is an opportunity to combine your export operations expertise with key account management and customer service in a role where you’ll have genuine ownership.
You’ll work closely with a major client, becoming a trusted point of contact and managing their freight requirements from booking through to delivery.

The Role
You’ll manage the day-to-day export requirements of key accounts, including:
- Managing client relationships and providing proactive customer service.
- Coordinating bookings, documentation, customs, transport and shipment milestones.
- Liaising with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents and transport providers.
- Monitoring cargo movements and keeping clients updated.
- Resolving issues quickly and providing practical solutions.
- Negotiating export freight rates and managing commercially sound outcomes.
- Ensuring export documentation and compliance requirements are met.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for a strong Export Operator who enjoys being customer-facing and wants to take the next step into a broader client-focused role.
You’ll ideally have:
- 5+ years’ freight forwarding export experience, strong in sea freight.
- Proven key account & customer service experience with confident client communication.
- Strong CargoWise skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
