AUZSCOT Constructions is a leader in civil construction, building, industrial and mining services based in Cloncurry Queensland, and operating on projects through the surrounding rural and remote areas.
We are currently looking to fill the following vacancies:
- Carpenter
- Diesel Motor Mechanic
- Fitter (General) / Diesel Fitter
- Small Engine Mechanic
Carpenter: To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a relevant carpentry qualification and have proven experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- Selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts
- Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
- Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures
- Nailing fascia panels, sheeting roofs and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
- Assembling prepared timber to form structures and fittings ready to install
- Cutting timber joints
- Construct concrete formwork
- Repair existing fittings
- Work with plastic laminates, Perspex and metals
- General maintenance
- Basic painting
- Welding
Diesel Motor Mechanic: To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a relevant mechanical qualification and have proven experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Service and maintenance of fleet consisting of vehicles, trucks, earthmoving machinery, tools and equipment
- Procurement of stock and consumables for the workshop
- Supervise apprentice diesel fitter
- Keeping workshop tidy and acting as a storeperson
- Planning and carrying out transport needs
- Ensuring all service and maintenance records are maintained
Fitter (General) / Diesel Fitter: To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a relevant mechanical qualification and have proven experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Small Engine Mechanic: To be considered for this position, you will need to hold a relevant mechanical qualification (small engine) and have proven experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Maintenance of all small engines, tools and equipment
- Cleaning and prestart checks of vehicles and fleet.
- Ensuring plant and equipment meet internal specifications as well as client specifications.
- Procurement of parts, stock and consumables for workshop
- Keeping workshop tidy and acting as a stores person
- Complying with workplace Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Use of software applications for asset management, tasks including recording services and repairs
- Compliance with environmental requirements and internal waste management procedures.
- Point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding fixed assets
- Occasional stocktakes
- Assist the WHSE / Quality Manager with monitoring of internal procedures relating to asset management.
Remuneration packages between $80,000 - $100,000 will be negotiated with successful candidates.
