If you’re an experienced Maintenance Electrician who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and getting hands-on with a variety of electrical systems, this could be a great opportunity to join our team working at Brisbane Airport.
You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site, diagnosing faults and keeping critical electrical systems and equipment operating safely and reliably.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults across circuits, equipment and distribution boards
- Working across 3-phase power, switchboards, lighting, low-voltage systems and motor controls
- Using diagnostic equipment including multimeters, insulation resistance testers (Meggers) and thermal imaging cameras
- Completing preventative maintenance inspections and identifying issues before they result in equipment downtime
- Repairing, maintaining and installing electrical systems and equipment
- Working safely and effectively within an operational site environment
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a qualified Electrician with strong maintenance and fault-finding experience and a practical approach to problem solving.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Current Electrical Work Licence
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with 3-phase power, switchboards, lighting and motor controls
- Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- Preventative and reactive maintenance experience
- Current CPR/LVR
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
Highly regarded
Experience or tickets in any of the following would be a bonus:
- High Risk Work Licence for EWP over 11 metres
- Confined Space
- Street lighting
- Pump stations
- Control system fault finding
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is confident fault finding, can work through problems logically and takes pride in keeping equipment and facilities running safely.
