Role Overview
Aequalis Consulting is supporting a number of project-driven organisations across Queensland seeking experienced Project Accountants and Finance Business Partners to support major infrastructure, energy and utilities projects through 2026 and beyond.
These roles sit close to project delivery teams, providing financial insight, reporting and commercial support across complex, multi-year project environments. This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals who enjoy partnering with non-finance stakeholders and contributing directly to project performance and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Providing financial support across major projects, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control
Preparing project financial reports and performance analysis
Partnering with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and delivery teams
Supporting monthly reporting, variance analysis and cashflow forecasting
Assisting with project setup, cost tracking and financial governance
Providing insight to support commercial decision-making and risk management
Ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements
About You
You will ideally bring:
An accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
Experience as a Project Accountant, Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant
Exposure to infrastructure, construction, energy or project-based environments
Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
Confidence working with non-finance stakeholders in delivery-focused teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex project environments
Experience supporting major projects, infrastructure or energy environments will be highly regarded.
