Our Client, Waheguru Trades Pty Ltd, are a painting service company based in Brisbane, Queensland, committed to delivering premium painting solutions.

As Queensland’s construction and renovation sector continues to grow, so do operations. To support this expansion and meet the increasing demand for the services, Company seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join the team. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and collaboratively, demonstrating professionalism, precision, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results on every project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·Preparing walls and surfaces for painting by washing them down, scraping, filling holes and cracks, and removing old paint.

·Installation, repair and maintain all sorts of internal surfaces, walls and ceilings.

·Be proficient in various methods of paint application such as brush, roll, spray, etc.

·Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface preparation skills, as well as mixing and matching.

·Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.

·Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers.

·Apply varnish and other finishes.

·Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials and other hazardous materials.

·Assembling ladders properly to manage risk of falls and increase safety.

·Preparing the surrounding area by covering it with cloth or plastic to prevent messes.

·Erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at various heights.

·Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.

·Maintaining cleanliness of the site and painting tools after completion of the task.

Qualifications:

·Certificate III Level qualification is required.

·Must have a minimum 1 year of experience as a painter.

·Good communication skills

·Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
