About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Aged or Disabled Carer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful applicant will provide personal care and daily support to clients, while promoting their dignity, independence and well-being.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accompany clients during day-to-day routines, outings, and community activities.
  • Support clients with safe mobility, including transfers and movement around the home or outdoors.
  • Assist with meal planning and basic food preparation to meet nutritional needs.
  • Organise and participate in social and recreational activities tailored to clients’ interests.
  • Perform light household tasks such as tidying, vacuuming, and general cleaning.
  • Help with personal hygiene routines including showering, dressing, and grooming.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Run local errands and assist with grocery shopping when required.
  • In some cases, provide live-in support to ensure continuity of care and safety.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field
  • At least a year of relevant experience in disability or aged care support
  • Ability to provide high-quality, person-focused care
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
  • Flexibility to work shifts across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
