About the Role:
As the head of HSEQ for Australia, you will lead the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality function across their Australian operations. This senior leadership role combines strategic direction with hands-on operational delivery, shaping and embedding an industry-leading safety culture while ensuring compliance with legislative, contractual, and group requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day HSEQ operations across Australian projects
- Develop, implement, and improve the Health and Safety Management System
- Ensure Australian policies align with global standards
- Provide strategic HSEQ advice to managers and project teams
- Drive health, wellbeing, and safety initiatives across Australia
- Define, monitor, and report on safety targets and KPIs
- Lead incident investigations, lessons learned, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Oversee risk management, audits, and HSEQ reporting to leadership and regulators
To Be Successful:
- Strong experience managing HSEQ in complex, project-based environments
- Ability to translate strategic goals into operational outcomes
- Proven leadership in developing high-performing teams
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Extensive experience delivering both strategic and operational HSEQ outcomes
- Successful track record implementing safety, quality, and compliance frameworks in high-risk industries
- Strong understanding of Australian HSEQ legislation and industry standards
