Smith and Co is currently seeking experienced Service Technicians to join a well-established heavy vehicle and trailer business based in Wetherill Park, NSW.
With multiple permanent full-time positions available, we are looking for skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and Vehicle Body Builders/Fabricators who take pride in their workmanship and are looking for a stable, long-term opportunity.
Whether your background is in heavy vehicle servicing and diagnostics, authorised inspections, or trailer fabrication and repairs, we want to hear from you.
Positions Available
Service Technician – Mechanic (AIS Accredited)
- $45.00–$50.00 per hour + Super
- Weekly tool allowance
- Heavy vehicle and trailer servicing and maintenance
- Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
- Conduct authorised vehicle inspections
- Current AIS accreditation highly regarded, or ability to obtain
Service Technician – Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- $45.00–$50.00 per hour + Super
- Weekly tool allowance
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Mechanical repairs across heavy vehicles and trailers
- General workshop and service duties
Service Technician – Fabricator
- $42.50–$47.50 per hour + Super
- Weekly tool allowance
- Trailer repairs and modifications
- MIG welding and general fabrication
- Structural and component repairs
- General trailer servicing and maintenance

About You
- Minimum 2+ years' relevant industry experience
- Relevant trade qualification for Mechanical or Fabrication positions
- Strong heavy vehicle, trailer or transport industry experience
- Confident with servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs or fabrication and MIG welding
- AIS accreditation advantageous for Mechanic positions
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
- High attention to quality and safety
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
