Head of Trade Operations

A long‑established trade and construction business is seeking a commercially minded Head of Trade Operations to lead its trade division. You’ll take ownership of operations, people, culture, safety and P&L, while working closely with the construction team to strengthen integration across the business.

The trade division covers reactive works, minor works and maintenance, with capability across carpentry, painting, wall & ceiling, roof plumbing, electrical and cabinetry. The business has strong government and aged‑care presence, with room to grow private‑sector work.

The Role:

• Lead a workforce of ~100 tradespeople
• Own P&L and commercial performance
• Oversee delivery across trade, maintenance and minor works
• Drive a strong safety, culture and performance mindset
• Strengthen alignment between trade operations and construction
• Identify growth opportunities and diversify the client base
• Provide strategic direction with hands‑on leadership

About You: You’re a senior operational leader with credibility in trade‑based environments with the ability to operate at a strategic level. You bring strong commercial acumen, a relatable leadership style, and a high‑performance mindset.
