About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a legal Support Officer to join the SAET. SAET are seeking applications to create a merit pool of candidates and you may be offered a contract in the next 12 months.
The position can be filled in a full-time or part-time capacity. Future contracts will be offered on evidence of successful completion of a degree in Law. Those in their final University semester, nearing successful completion of their degree in Law are encouraged to apply.
The Legal Support Officer’s responsibilities include:
- Undertaking legal research
- The provision of specialised administrative, clerical and in court support to members of the judiciary
- Managing the preparation of decisions
- Preparation of draft documents
- Contribute to culture

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
