An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Design and Detailing Manager to take ownership of the design and detailing function within an established construction business.

This is a senior leadership role focused on accountability, team management, systems and process improvement, rather than being purely hands-on. You will be responsible for ensuring the department operates efficiently, maintains high standards and consistently delivers for the wider business.

• Lead and develop an established technical team, driving improvements across systems, processes, workflow and accountability.

About You

We are seeking an experienced technical professional who has the leadership capability and personality to take genuine ownership of a department.

You will ideally bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in technical design, detailing or a related construction environment
• Experience across frames, trusses, technical detailing, building products or similar, within commercial and/or residential construction
• Strong technical drawing, detailing and design knowledge, with FRAMECAD, AutoCAD or similar experience
• Experience reviewing and approving technical work and ensuring quality
• Previous experience leading teams, managing workloads and coordinating internal and/or external resources
• A proactive, accountable approach with a proven ability to improve systems, processes and team performance
