Hays is currently recruiting multiple Compliance Officers for a Federal Government organisation based in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in compliance, investigations, regulatory functions, debt recovery, case management or government administration to join a supportive, high-performing team and contribute to the delivery of important compliance outcomes.
Your new role
As a Compliance Officer, you will undertake a range of compliance, assessment and recovery activities within a legislative and regulatory framework. Working within established policies and procedures, you will exercise sound judgement, manage complex cases and engage with a variety of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. This role will suit candidates who enjoy analysing information, interpreting legislation, resolving complex matters and working in a fast-paced government environment.Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate compliance and recovery activities
• Investigate and assess matters in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and regulatory requirements
• Analyse information and apply legislative frameworks to support decision-making
• Prepare reports, recommendations, correspondence and advice
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve compliance outcomes
• Support dispute resolution, negotiations and stakeholder management activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational enhancements
• Maintain accurate records and case documentation
• Deliver high-quality customer and stakeholder service while ensuring legislative compliance

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Experience in compliance, investigations, regulatory environments, debt recovery, case management or similar functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to interpret legislation, policies and procedures
• Excellent written communication skills, including report writing and case documentation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently
• High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
• Previous experience within Federal, State or Local Government environments will be highly regarded
• Australian Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance and a National Police Check
