About the Kangaroo Island Landscape Board

The Kangaroo Island Landscape Board is one of nine landscape boards in South Australia. We work with landholders, communities and partners to manage soils, water, pests and biodiversity. We invest landscape levies and attract additional funding to protect and improve Kangaroo Island’s productive and natural landscapes.

Our work is guided by the Kangaroo Island Regional Landscape Plan 2026–2031 and its vision: “Working together for healthy land and sea.” The plan sets five connected priorities: empowering community, sustaining biodiversity, supporting healthy land and water, managing pests and managing climate risks. Community partnerships, local knowledge and scientific evidence underpin this work.

Our values of Trust, Collaboration and Impact guide how we work every day. We act with integrity, support one another, build strong relationships with our community and partners, and focus on practical outcomes that make a lasting difference for Kangaroo Island.
