Consultant Psychiatrist – Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS)

Location: Cumberland Hospital, Westmead, NSW, Australia

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (part-time hours can be negotiated)

Salary: Competitive (aligned with NSW Health Staff Specialist Award), with relocation assistance and visa sponsorship available

About the Role

Cumberland Hospital, part of the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join its Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This role involves providing specialist psychiatric care to children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health challenges in both inpatient and community settings.

You will:

• Deliver psychiatric assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.

• Work within a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary team.

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff.

• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
