Ethos is partnering with a leading Utilities organisation to recruit an experienced Procurement Specialist to support the procurement and delivery of a large-scale capital works program. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement and commercial professional with experience in construction or infrastructure projects to lead pre-contract procurement activities, commercial negotiations and stakeholder engagement across a diverse portfolio of major projects.
You will play a key role in developing procurement strategies, negotiating commercial arrangements and supporting the successful transition of projects into contract delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement and pre-contract activities for major infrastructure projects
- Develop procurement strategies and commercial approaches for capital works
- Manage tender processes, commercial negotiations and contract establishment
- Build strong relationships with project teams, legal, finance and suppliers
- Negotiate commercial arrangements to deliver value for money and manage project risk
- Develop forward procurement plans across a large program of works
- Ensure compliance with governance, probity and procurement frameworks
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and commercial processes
About You
- Experience in procurement, commercial or pre-contracts roles within construction or infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial negotiations
- Experience delivering procurement activities for capital works or infrastructure projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Construction, Engineering, Law or a related discipline
Highly Regarded
- Experience with NEC4 or GC21 contracts
- Exposure to SAP Ariba, InEight or similar procurement platforms
- Experience working across major infrastructure or utilities projects
