Our valued client, based in Truganina, is a leading manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging and sustainable container solutions, supplying products to consumer, food, dairy and industrial brands.
 
We are currently seeking an experienced and mechanically minded Machine Operator to join their production team on an ongoing casual basis.
 
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is confident working around machinery and is looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday hours with the opportunity to work overtime.
 
PAY RATES & SHIFTS:

  • AM Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm = $37.70 per hour
  • PM Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm = $43.36 per hour
  • Casual ongoing position
  • Consistent hours every week
  • Overtime opportunities available

ABOUT THE ROLE:
 
As a Machine Operator, you will play an important role in keeping the production process running efficiently and safely.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and monitoring production machinery
  • Setting up machines and equipment for production runs
  • Performing mould changes and adjustments
  • Troubleshooting basic machine and production issues
  • Monitoring product quality and ensuring production standards are maintained
  • Identifying and reporting machinery or production faults
  • Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
  • Following all workplace health and safety procedures
  • Working as part of a supportive and fast-paced production team

ABOUT YOU:
 
We are looking for people who are reliable, hands-on and take pride in their work.
To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience operating machinery, manufacturing or production equipment
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • The ability to troubleshoot and identify basic mechanical issues
  • A positive, proactive and can-do attitude
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong reliability and work ethic
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Own reliable car and valid driver's licence
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Ability to commit to Monday-Friday ongoing work
  • Availability for either the AM or PM shift
