Major Project Manager - HVAC Construction

The Company

Our client is a leading Tier 1 Mechanical Contractor that has experienced significant growth over the past decade.

Recent project wins have secured a strong pipeline of work, and the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Major Project Manager to join its Brisbane team.

The Role

As Major Project Manager, you will take responsibility for major HVAC projects from inception through to completion.

You will coordinate closely with builders, subcontractors and suppliers while managing the commercial, programme and delivery requirements of each project.

You will be supported by an experienced senior management team and a strong internal engineering department, giving you the resources required to successfully deliver significant commercial projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing major HVAC projects from commencement through to completion

• Managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance

• Coordinating builders, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams

• Leading and motivating project teams

• Maintaining a strong focus on project safety

• Taking ownership of project outcomes and client relationships

Selection Criteria

To be considered, you will possess the following experience:

• Extensive experience managing major HVAC projects valued above $5M - Essential

• HVAC Project experience gained in Australia, NZ or the UK

• Strong knowledge of the Australian HVAC construction market

• Strong project programming and financial management skills

• Demonstrated leadership and team management capability

• The ability to develop and maintain a strong safety culture

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A Mechanical Engineering degree

• Experience across drafting, estimating and project management
