Kitchen Hand
- Prepare and serve residents’ meals in accordance with menus, dietary requirements and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and follow food safety and infection control practices.
- Work reliably and empathetically with residents and colleagues, including across weekday and weekend shifts.

About the Role
As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.
A working day will involve:
- Preparing and serving resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
You should ideally be an empathetic person who:
- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You should possess the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- A knowledge of food safety.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
