ANGODA PTY LTD is a Sydney-based meat retailer with stores in Chatswood and Hornsby, specialising in premium fresh meat, deli and processed meat products. Retail is our core business, while we also supply wholesale customers including restaurants and butcher shops. Our range includes grass-fed and grain-fed beef, lamb, pork and Chinese/Western style deli products. With integrated cold-chain storage, processing and delivery facilities, we serve retail and wholesale customers across Sydney, backed by rigorous quality control.

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee our meat retail operations, with a proven background in retail management, customer service and fresh food supply. The role involves managing day-to-day store operations, with emphasis on fresh meat, deli products, retail sales and customer service, while also supporting wholesale orders. Salary Range:Above AUD83,000 + super/ per year

Qualification Requirements:

Ø Diploma or higher qualification from Australia or overseas tertiary education provider is a must;

Ø Must have a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in retail management, customer service, meat products, fresh food or food-related supply;

Ø Strong communication skills required, including proficiency in English and Mandarin;

Ø Local job applicants (including Australian Permanent Residents or Citizens) will be highly preferred;

Ø Strong background in store operations, retail sales, team leadership, stock control and sales performance within the meat, fresh food or food retail industry is highly desirable;

Ø Ability to manage staff, control stock, and deliver excellent customer service in fast-paced environments;

Ø Confidence and determination in problem solving to derive innovative solutions;

Ø Good work ethic and ability to work well within a team environment.

Roles and Responsibility:

This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store. Relevant duties include but are not limited to the following:

Ø Oversee daily store administration, inventory control and stock rotation, including fresh meat cuts, deli items, processed goods and packaging supplies, while enforcing waste reduction measures, cold-chain protocols and standard operating procedures across all locations;

Ø Establish service benchmarks and develop guidelines for retail shoppers, wholesale inquiries, product recommendations, pricing quotes, order fulfilment and post-purchase assistance;

Ø Curate the product assortment, meat cut selections, product pairings and in-store presentation based on customer preferences, seasonal demand, wholesale specifications and retail requirements;

Ø Execute impactful in-store merchandising plans that showcase fresh meat and deli products to drive retail sales, while also supporting wholesale demand, and uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards;

Ø Establish sales objectives, assess product pricing, create action plans to meet retail revenue targets with wholesale support, and evaluate sales results across retail, hospitality and wholesale customer groups;

Ø Launch marketing and promotional initiatives aimed primarily at retail shoppers, as well as restaurants, butcher shops and wholesale distributors, to boost foot traffic, trade inquiries and product turnover;

Ø Support the marketing and brand-building efforts of ANGODA PTY LTD as a trusted retailer of premium fresh meat, deli products and meat items, with a growing presence in the wholesale and food service sectors;

Ø Offer customers expert product guidance, including meat cut descriptions, cooking recommendations, freshness indicators, storage tips, product pairing ideas and menu suggestions tailored to individual needs;

Ø Keep accurate documentation of stock levels, customer orders, price quotes, delivery schedules and sales results to facilitate precise order tracking, inventory audits and customer follow-ups;

Ø Develop operating budgets, track expenditure, and guarantee that the store runs within approved financial parameters;

Ø Hire, onboard, mentor and assess staff members, and provide the sales team with ongoing coaching on product expertise, retail customer service, quoting processes, food safety compliance, selling techniques and professional store presentation;

Ø Guarantee that the store adheres to all relevant legislation, workplace health and safety rules, food safety regulations, product handling protocols and safe practices for fresh meat and perishable food items;

Ø Actively build and cultivate connections with retail customers, restaurant operators, cafe owners, butcher retailers and wholesale distributors to identify and secure new business opportunities;

Ø Foster long-term relationships with retail and trade customers through in-store service, regular follow-ups, client database management and order support, in line with marketing strategies;

Ø Take charge of store presentation, cold storage areas, product displays, meat samples, customer order follow-ups and after-sales service requests, while championing new digital and omnichannel solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
