We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional to step into the newly created role of Food & Beverage Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering intuitive, personalised service and is ready to take the next step into leadership.

Working alongside the Restaurant Manager and leadership team, you'll play a key role in supporting daily operations, mentoring team members and ensuring every guest experience reflects the exceptional standards qualia is known for.

Your Role

As a Food & Beverage Team Leader, you'll support the day-to-day operation of qualia's restaurants by leading from the floor, mentoring Food & Beverage Attendants and ensuring every service reflects the personalised, intuitive hospitality our guests expect. You'll be a role model for service excellence while supporting the management team in creating a positive, high-performing culture.

Where you'll make an impact

• Lead by example through exceptional luxury food and beverage service

• Support the coordination of daily restaurant operations and service flow

• Provide guidance, coaching and encouragement to Food & Beverage Attendants during every shift

• Assist with the induction and on-the-job training of new team members

• Build strong guest relationships through warm, personalised and intuitive service

• Resolve guest enquiries professionally and escalate complex matters where required

• Support opening, closing and operational procedures to ensure service readiness

• Encourage product knowledge, menu confidence and premium upselling opportunities

• Maintain the highest standards of presentation, food safety, RSA and WHS compliance

• Foster a collaborative, respectful and guest-focused team culture

What we're looking for

You're an experienced hospitality professional who leads through your actions and inspires those around you. You have a passion for luxury service, enjoy developing others and are ready to take the next step towards a leadership career within Hamilton Island.

To be successful, you will need:

• Previous experience in premium à la carte or luxury hospitality service

• A genuine passion for delivering personalised guest experiences

• Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to mentor others

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards

• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate (Essential)
