Your new role
As a Medical Secretary, you will provide dedicated support primarily to one Specialist while working collaboratively alongside a team of experienced Medical Secretaries. This is a busy and rewarding role that requires exceptional organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing appointment bookings and diary coordination
  • Coordinating patient consultations, follow-ups, and procedures
  • Preparing and processing correspondence, medical reports, and referrals
  • Liaising with patients, hospitals, allied health professionals, and referrers
  • Managing patient records and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Processing medical billing, invoicing, and Medicare claims
  • Handling patient enquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Supporting the wider administration team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Secretary within a specialist or healthcare environment
  • Strong understanding of medical billing, Medicare, and health fund claiming processes
