We’re on the hunt for an experienced retail assistant to join the team at our Charters Towers store. Whether you’re after casual or part-time hours, our stores are fast-paced and high-volume. We need someone who knows the ropes, can hustle, keeps queues moving, and still manages to make every single customer feel like the most important person in the room.
The hours
- Shifts are spread across weekdays with occasional weekends (aligned with our standard store trading hours).
- Flexibility across a range of days and times is a must-have.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering fast, friendly service, handling queries, and processing returns without missing a beat
- Operating the register, flying through sales, refunds, and exchanges on our POS system, and keeping checkouts moving
- Unpacking stock, hitting the floor to replenish shelves quickly, and keeping product presentation sharp
- Setting up new promos, sorting out ticketing, and adjusting floor layouts as directed
- Supporting the Shift Supervisor and pitching in wherever the team needs you most
- Keeping the store clean, tidy, and safe during peak trading times
- Following standard health and safety guidelines
About you
- You’ve got solid retail experience and know how to handle a busy shop floor
- You’re reliable, fast on your feet, and always show up on time for your shifts
- You have sound cash handling skills and know your way around a computer
- You have the initiative to spot what needs doing and crack on with it without needing constant direction
- You stay calm and practical under pressure, balancing speed with a warm, welcoming attitude
- You’re physically up for a busy shift of being on your feet and lifting stock safely
