AO4 Communications Officer

Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a state government client to support them in recruiting for a Communications Officer (Design Support) on a 6-month contract (with extension potential) based in Nerang on the Gold Coast.

About the role

• Pay rate of $62.90 per hour + super
• 6-month contract with possible extension, immediate start
• Full time, based in Nerang
• Design, lay out and produce branded collateral including flyers, fact sheets, newsletters, infographics, project maps, reports and presentations
• Provide administrative support for stakeholder engagement activities, including note taking, records management and database upkeep
• Coordinate procurement of design products, services and imagery through established approval processes
• Manage a high-volume shared workload across the region using project management tools

Preferred Requirements

• Proven ability to produce quality work quickly in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
• Exceptional attention to detail across multiple projects
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with graphic design software, ideally Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of state government processes and policies
• Strong stakeholder relationship and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and industry experience
• Ability to obtain a satisfactory criminal history check
