  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform diagnostic data into accessible designs.
  • Apply design principles to simplify complexity while ensuring usability and accessibility.

Design clarity where complex healthcare workflows impact real lives.

About the role

As part of Resmed’s Provider Diagnostics UX/UI team in Sydney, you’ll help shape digital experiences that support providers, operations teams, internal stakeholders, and the patients they serve. You’ll combine UX/UI design, interaction design, systems thinking, and product judgment to turn ambiguity into clear, scalable experiences that help people move from testing to diagnosis to treatment with confidence.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, and CX partners to transform diagnostic data, workflow complexity, and operational needs into useful, accessible, and trustworthy UX/UI experiences. This role is ideal for a UX/UI designer who enjoys solving complex workflow, data, and information architecture challenges and is excited about thoughtfully incorporating AI to ideate, design and deliver modern healthcare experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Support UX/UI work from discovery through delivery, including problem framing, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction specifications, visual design refinements, and design quality assurance
  • Design clear, efficient, and scalable UX/UI experiences for provider and operational workflows with complex clinical and diagnostic information
  • Apply UX/UI, interaction design, visual design, and information architecture principles to simplify complexity while preserving critical detail
  • Use and contribute to design systems, reusable UI patterns, and consistent UX/UI standards for provider experiences
  • Apply accessibility, usability, inclusive design, and UI quality standards across all design outputs
  • Use AI tools responsibly to support UX/UI ideation, prototyping, visual exploration, and synthesis, maintaining strong design fundamentals and human review
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for usability, accessibility, trust, ethics, and accuracy while balancing system confidence, user control, and escalation paths

What You Bring

  • 3+ years in UX/UI, product, or interaction design, with a strong portfolio showing complex product work, thoughtful decision-making, polished design execution, and delivered outcomes
  • Degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, HCI, UI Design, Graphic or Visual Design, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience designing enterprise, workflow-heavy, data-rich, SaaS, or healthcare UX/UI products
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, Research, Content, and CX partners
  • Working knowledge of accessibility, usability, inclusive design, and visual UI best practices
  • Practical fluency in tools such as Figma, Claude Design, ChatGPT, GitHub, Copilot, or Visual Studio Code
  • Ability to think critically about AI-enabled experiences, including trust, accuracy, transparency, escalation, and user control

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for regulated industries or healthcare environments
  • Experience designing complex, system-level UX/UI experiences, conversational workflows, or decision-support interfaces
  • Experience supporting user research, testing, or AI-assisted synthesis while maintaining strong design judgment
  • Experience contributing to design systems, UI pattern libraries, or reusable UX/UI standards

What Sets You Apart

  • Systems Thinking - You connect individual interactions to the broader experience and design solutions that scale
  • Collaboration - You build strong partnerships across disciplines and bring people together around shared outcomes
  • Judgment - You balance user needs, business goals, technical realities, and AI limitations to make thoughtful decisions
  • Adaptability - You embrace emerging technologies and evolving challenges while keeping users at the center of decisions
  • Ownership - You drive clarity through ambiguity and maintain momentum from concept to delivery
